MICHAEL PALOMARES - Principal Physiotherapist in Paediatrics

Michael Palomares graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 1998. He has >20 years' experience as a Physiotherapist in Paediatrics.  He started working at Campbelltown Hospital in 1999 where he did his allocation year rotating to get skills in various areas of Physiotherapy, including inpatient and outpatient services for children and adults, as well as in Rehabilitation. Since the year 2000 Michael has worked in Paediatric Physiotherapy at Campbelltown Hospital including servicing the children's ward, special care nursery and maternity wards, and working in all aspects of outpatient Physiotherapy for children. He started the Macarthur Outreach School Team for Physical Disabilities (MOST for PD) at Campbelltown Hospital in 2000 working as a Senior Physiotherapist with school age children with physical disabilities in mainstream schools in Macarthur - providing therapy for children with Cerebral Palsy, Brain injury, Spinal Cord injury, Muscular Dystrophy, Juvenile Arthritis and other rare neurological conditions/syndromes.

 

In 2003 he started his own private practice, Physiopaedics Children's Physiotherapy, in Campbelltown at South West Physiotherapy. He expanded Physiopaedics Children's Physiotherapy in 2009, joining South West Kids Clinic in Liverpool.  In 2012, he moved from Campbelltown to his rooms at Camden where he has continued to expand and develop his service, and now works full time at Physiopaedic Children's Physiotherapy.  In 2018, he moved to newer, bigger premises in Narellan due to the business expanding and growing.

 

Michael has a special interest and real passion about working with children with disabilities especially Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Spinal Cord Injury, Brain Injury, and any Neurological, congenital or Muscle disease conditions. ​​​​​​​​​

ANNE KELLY - Paediatric Physiotherapist

Anne Kelly graduated from Curtin University in Perth with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 1996.  She completed her Masters of Physiotherapy in Paediatrics in 2005 through the University of Queensland. Anne has been working in Paediatric Physiotherapy since 1999, being a Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist at numerous hospitals for past 19 years, including Campbelltown, Liverpool and Canberra.  She joined Physiopaedics Children's Physiotherapy in 2010 working part-time.  Anne has been recognised as an APA Paediatric Physiotherapist.  Anne has a special interest in premature babies and developmental care.
