PHYSIOPAEDICS CHILDREN'S PHYSIOTHERAPY provides the highest quality physiotherapy service for children with:

 

- Developmental Delay:  babies who have difficulty or delay in gross motor  development, i.e. rolling, sitting, crawling, walking

 

- Disabilities:  Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Spinal Cord Injury, Brain Injury, Juvenile Arthritis, Spina Bifida, Vision and Hearing Impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) / Asperger's Syndrome and any other rare syndromes/conditions, eg. Muscle diseases, Neurological/movement disorders

 

- Congenital conditions:  talipes equinovarus (TEV), congenital calcaneovalgus (CCV), developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), as well as other conditions such as torticollis (always looking to one side), head preference / flattening of head / plagiocephaly and brachial plexus injuries (Erb's Palsy)

 

- Gross motor difficulties:  ball skills, balance, co-ordination, strength, clumsiness, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD)/Motor Dyspraxia

 

- Gait / walking problems:  in-toeing, out-toeing, flat feet, toe-walking, “knock knees” (genu valgus), “W” sitting

 

- Orthopaedic conditions:  serial casting for toe-walkers with tight calf muscles, therapy post-fracture and after casting

 

Musculoskeletal injuries / growing conditions: Osgood-Schlatter Disease, Sever's Disease, postural abnormalities, scoliosis

 

 

Referrals

Anyone can refer to Physiopaedics Children’s Physiotherapy  – parents /carers, doctors, teachers, schools/pre-schools, allied health professionals, early intervention workers.  A doctor’s referral is not necessary - unless using a Medicare "Chronic Disease Management" (CDM) plan.
